BADMINTONscotland Coaching & Development Manager

Salary : circa £28,000 – £35,000 per annum (Temporary 7 Month Maternity Cover) Commencing Monday 25th June 2018

BADMINTONscotland, the national governing body for badminton in Scotland, in partnership with sportscotland, the national agency for sport, wishes to appoint a temporary Coaching & Development Manager to build on the strong foundations in the sport in Scotland. The successful candidate will deliver against BADMINTONscotland’s Strategic Plan 2015-2019.

This post will lead the development and implementation of the BADMINTONscotland Coach Education and Development programme to deliver a comprehensive coaching and education structure to support the future success of the sport.  The post holder will be the BADMINTONscotland representative on the sportscotland Coaching Network.

In addition, this position will also manage a team of 5 development staff and 1 administrative assistant.  The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction on development, participation and pathways.  Leading on Child Protection Minimum Operating Requirements and the Equality standard will also be part of this role.

The post is offered on a temporary contract for 7 months and will be based at BADMINTONscotland, 40 Bogmoor Place, Glasgow G51 4TQ.

In accordance with BADMINTONscotland’s Child Protection Policy and Guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme.
