Congratulations to Cara Smyth from Dalgety Bay and Carnegie Swimming Club who received the award of youth coach of the year at the Dunfermline and West Fife Sports Council Annual Awards held at the Carnegie Conference Centre in Dunfermline earlier this evening.
As well as being a successful Para swimmer Cara is a peer mentor volunteer and coach support volunteer with Disability Sport Fife. Cara is also a pool side teacher with Carnegie Swimming Club.
Cara is an outstanding role model for young women in sport as performer, peer mentor, coach assistant and teacher.
