Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 (depending on experience) plus provision of a Scottish Cycling vehicle

Do you have a passion for cycling and want to work in one of the most exciting and fastest growing sports in the UK? Scottish Cycling is looking to appoint a dynamic individual to lead the development of cycle sport in the Scottish Cycling West region, outside Glasgow, and South West region.

In conjunction with the Development Manager, the Regional Development Officer (RDO) will work with the Scottish Cycling West and South West Regional Development Groups and local clubs, key regional partners and stakeholders to continue to develop and implement the regional development plans, reflecting the needs and priorities of the regions in line with the Scottish Cycling Performance and Participation Pathway and with a focus to develop successful clubs and communities of cycle sport.

The RDO will form an integral part of the Scottish Cycling Development Team. Supported by the Development Manager and Head of Development the RDO will be the key contact in the regions outside Glasgow, representing Scottish Cycling at a local and regional level.   Applicants should have knowledge and experience of sports development, with particular focus on club development. They must have excellent interpersonal skills and be enthusiastic, self motivated and confident in being able to drive forward the implementation of the regional development plans.

The role involves considerable travel within the regions so it is likely that you will live either in one of the regions or in very close proximity. The post is full time, 37.5 hours per week.
