Tennis Scotland – National Coach Vacancy
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + benefits
Tennis Scotland is seeking to recruit a National Coach to achieve the performance elements of the mission and targets within the Tennis Scotland strategy. He / she will plan and deliver the National Programme for Tennis Scotland’s high performance players and provide leadership and strategic direction to the player development programme to ensure that more Scottish players achieve their potential on the performance pathway.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in high performance tennis and will have excellent coaching / mentoring skills. Excellent leadership, communication and negotiating skills are a must as well as the ability to enthuse and motivate others coupled with a real passion for tennis excellence.
- Lead the vision for performance tennis, creating opportunities and pathways for talented Scottish players to progress into professional tennis.
- On court lead for Tennis Scotland National Programme, training camps and training days.
- Deliver coaching and mentoring across the Regional tennis programmes, including the review of training programmes with Regional coaches.
- Work with the Tennis Scotland Performance team, the LTA and sportscotland to develop, evolve and deliver an integrated Coaching network that will contribute to the achievement of the Performance goals within the Tennis Scotland Strategic Plan.
