Alan hails from Angus and has swum competitively for many years with great distinction.  Alan has a type of cerebral palsy that means he has to cope with constant involuntary movement. Perhaps the greatest challenge he faces is lack of speech.

Peter is one half of the McGuire brothers partnership who won a silver medal at the World Championships in Portugal in 2010 and gold in the BC4 pairs at the European Championships in 2009.

Stephen is the most successful British BC4 boccia player, having reached the final of the British Championships for the past five years and winning the title in all but one occasion. 

Big Jim hails from the Splash Club in Broxburn and is one of the most successful GB swimmers to date.

Caroline was a pupil at Bell Baxter High School in Fife and started her sporting career as a swimmer with Cupar and District Swimming Club.

Five times Paralympian Kenny Cairns has set his sights on making the GB Team for Bejing and he has every chance of succeeding.

David Chalmers came from Glasgow and was the first CP7 field event athlete to make an impact in international sport for disabled people

David began shooting competitively in 1987 and used a recurve bow.  He was introduced to the sport by attending the Monday evening sports group at the Fife Sports Institute.

Frank was first introduced to the sport of curling at age 12 on a frozen pond in Falkland in Fife. When he was 35 years of age he had an accident at work which left him paralysed and dependant on a wheelchair for everyday mobility.
