The Championships of 2010 were held at Easterhouse Sports centre on Saturday 30th January. As in previous years there were many exciting ties during the qualifying stages and the finals brought out the best in Scotland’s top boccia players. The BC4 final between the McGuire brothers was worthy of special mention as one exceptional shot after another was delivered by each player. Chris Jacquin continues to progress in the ranks of the leading BC1 players and not surprisingly there were gold medals for Scott McCowan and Lewis McConnell. Kristin Law led came out tops in the junior competition. Event organiser Claire Morrison was delighted with the standard of play and in particular the leading Scottish boccia players. SDS acknowledges once again the support received from Glasgow City Council.
