| Scots in the Medals |
The news from the Czech Republic is excellent. Scott Walker, Craig Rodgie and Allan Stuart have won medals in their respective sports of cycling, swimming and athletics. The Games are almost finished and the athletes return to the UK on Tuesday 14th July. Visit the Global Games website for a more up to date report. Well done to Allan Stuart from Glasgow in particular for winning two individual gold medals in both 200 metres and 400 metres. Allan won silver at the Sydney Paralympic Games over 400metres. Allan also picked up silver over 100 metres into a strong head wind in 11.35. Well done also to Craig Rodgie from Fife and Carnegie SC who has won two relay gold medals. Team GB won the 4 x 200 metres freestyle and 4 x 100 metres medley relay in world record time. Craig was a member of both teams. Well done also to Aberdeenshire’s Scott Walker who won bronze in the team time trial. · 2009 INAS-FID Global Games The Local Organising Committee of the 2009 Games has launched a dedicated website to the Games.
