Kate first tried archery in 2000 after a friend bought her a training session as a Christmas present, which she enjoyed so much that she bought her own equipment and took a training session, gradually upgrading her bow and starting competition. She enjoys the inclusive nature of the competition.

Kate’s greatest achievement to date was winning bronze at the 2007 World Championships in Cheongju, Korea.

In addition to archery, Kate has a keen interest in equestrian sport and used to compete in horse driving trials.  She also enjoys wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby.
